Through a number of initiatives, we try to make a difference in the lives
of people around us.
THE GUJARAT EARTHQUAKE CHAPTER
In the aftermath following the Gujarat earthquake, Dr. Raje and his team were called upon
by the Gujarat state government to investigate many R.C.C structures devastavated by
the magnitude of the quake. Regions like Bhuj and other major cities in Ahmedabad suffered
the maximum brunt of the catastrophe. Later on Raje Structural Consultants were appointed
by the court and Ahmedabad Municipal corporation for carrying out detailed forensic investigations
in the form of Non-Destructive Tests and prepare a detailed report for the causes of failure in
various buildings. Meanwhile the team also worked in conjunction with Sir Owen Williams
Innovestment Ltd. for carrying out NDT test on various structures. All the reports were drafted
and finally presented to the authorities in a record period of 45 days. |
